fiction classics) possibly to rely heavily on Piers Anthony's Bio of a
Space Tyrant for basic technology at least.

fiction classics including a heavy reliance on Anne McCaffrey's Rowan series.

The Sundering World -- In the destruction of the Wyld the Weaver and Arcadia
(2000 CE) the world's magic Awoke altering all who had previously disbelieved
in its power. Now none can doubt that magic exists

Shattering 2001 to 2020 CE -- essentially a shadowrun style world

of more and more powerful magic continue until 2075
